The Jungle

Brief: Design a new edition of the classic book, The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair

Concept: This book was banned for exposing health violations and unsanitary conditions in the meat packing industry in the early twentieth century.  To bring readers' attention to the health issues and harsh working conditions, I highlighted select sections of text in red. The cover references the slaughter of chickens using only feathers and a slash through the dust jacket, thus sparing the reader the gory details.
